Crucifixion with the Virgin and Saint Jerome – Florence

The work, showing Jesus crucified flanked by the Madonna and Saint Jerome, can be related with other works with the same content, such as the Gavari Crucifixion by Raphael and other Crucifixions executed by Perugino, like the one preserved at the previous convent of Santa Maria Maddalena dei Pazzi in Florence.
In the background, black clouds are unraveling, revealing the presence of the sun and moon together above a countryside landscape, where only a town on a hill is visible.

The painting is preserved at the Cenacolo del Fuligno in Florence.
