Città della Pieve celebrates Perugino: the exhibition “E al battesimo fu chiamato Pietro” recalls the 500 years since the death of the great master.

The exhibition, which will be inaugurated Saturday, July 1 and will end on September 30, 2023, will be divided into two exhibition venues and will collect over thirty works by the Master of Città della Pieve.

The focus will revolve around four recurring iconographic themes in Perugino’s work: the Nativity, Baptism, the Deposition from the Cross and the Lamentation over the Dead Christ.

The exhibition will be curated by the scientific committee, composed by Dr. Vittoria Garibaldi, Prof. Antonio Natali and Dr Nicoletta Baldini.
